This site is funded by affiliate commissions. If you book a tour, a ticket or a place to stay through a link here, the seller pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price. No surcharge, no difference to your booking, no worse cancellation terms.

What the commission does not buy

Operators and properties cannot pay to appear here, cannot pay to rank higher, and cannot pay to have criticism removed. We regularly recommend the cheaper option, tell you to book direct with an estate instead of through a platform, or tell you to skip a tour altogether. All three cost us money. We do them anyway, because a guide you cannot trust is worth nothing to either of us.

Where you will see it

Every page carrying affiliate links says so at the top, above the recommendations, not in small print at the bottom. If you find a commercial link on this site without that disclosure, it is a mistake. Tell us and we will fix it.
